Mavuika Constellations Guide: Unlock and Maximize the Pyro Archon in Genshin Impact

After four years since the release of Genshin Impact, travelers have finally met Mavuika, the Pyro Archon who rules over Natlan. As the Archon of the nation of war, it is no surprise that Mavuika is a Pyro DPS who wields a claymore.

So far, all Natlan characters have been among the best in their categories. Kinich and Mualani are S-tier DPS carries, while Xilonen rivals Kazuha as one of the best support characters in Genshin Impact. Some Natlan characters, like Chasca and Ororon, have even introduced new playstyles. Their Archon, Mavuika, is no exception and excels as a DPS, sub-DPS, and even as a support.

As an Archon, Mavuika is undoubtedly a powerful character in Genshin Impact. Like all other units, she becomes even stronger as you unlock more constellations. However, to be clear, Mavuika is already a top-tier character at C0, and there is no need to spend money or Primogems to unlock her constellations. Below, we have briefly discussed each of Mavuika’s constellations and how strong they are.

All Mavuika Constellations in Genshin Impact

Genshin Impact Mavuika

Here are the six constellations of Mavuika and their effects:

Constellation 1 : The Night-Lord’s Explication

Mavuika’s maximum Nightsoul points are increased to 120, and she gains Fighting Spirit 25% more efficiently. Additionally, she gains 40% ATK for 8s after gaining Fighting Spirit.

Mavuika’s first constellation is the best quality-of-life upgrade for her main DPS playstyle. Unlike other characters in Genshin Impact, Mavuika does not use energy particles to recharge her Elemental Burst. Instead, she relies on Fighting Spirit for burst recharging.

One of the biggest issues with Mavuika is her high dependency on Natlan teammates to generate the Fighting Spirit needed for activating her Elemental Burst. Mavuika converts all Nightsoul points used by teammates into Fighting Spirit, and each normal attack by party members adds 1.5 Fighting Spirit. For a main DPS Mavuika, you will need to run Xilonen or, at minimum, Citali in your party to consistently recharge her Elemental Burst with each rotation.

With Constellation 1, Mavuika will have an easier time regaining her Elemental Burst and will no longer require a premium Natlan unit like Xilonen. Additionally, she gains a 40% ATK buff, reducing her reliance on running Bennett in the party. However, it is worth noting that this is a classic case of HoYoverse creating a problem (Mavuika’s dependency on Xilonen or Citali) and then selling its solution (Constellation 1).

Constellation 2 : The Ashen Price

When in the Nightsoul’s Blessing State, Mavuika’s Base ATK is increased by 200, and she obtains the following effects based on All-Fire Armaments’ form:
· Ring of Searing Radiance: Nearby opponents’ DEF decreased by 20%.
· Flamestrider: Mavuika’s Normal Attacks, Charged Attacks, and her Sunfell Slice from the Elemental Burst Hour of Burning Skies deal 60%, 90%, and 120% of her ATK as increased DMG respectively.

Constellation 2 provides a significant boost to both Mavuika’s DPS and support capabilities. As a DPS, she gains a straightforward yet impactful increase in base ATK, along with improved scaling for her Elemental Burst. On the support side, Mavuika can shred enemies’ defenses by 20%, making her a valuable asset for amplifying your team’s overall damage.

For light spenders, Mavuika’s C2 is an excellent stopping point for spending Primogems, as it enhances her performance across multiple roles without requiring further investment.

Constellation 3: The Burning Sun

Increases the Level of Hour of Burning Skies by 3.
Maximum upgrade level is 15.

Mavuika’s third constellation increases her Elemental Burst talent by three levels, providing a solid damage boost to her already powerful Elemental Burst. There isn’t much to elaborate on here—it’s a straightforward upgrade.

For small spenders or “whales,” Constellation 3 offers a decent increase in damage but is not essential unless you are already planning to aim for her C6.

Constellation 4 : The Leader’s Resolve

Enhances the effects of the Passive Talent “Kiongozi”:
The DMG increase gained after using the Elemental Burst Hour of Burning Skies will not decay over time, and an additional 10% DMG Bonus will be gained.
You must first unlock the Passive Talent “Kiongozi.”

Constellation 4 is a quality-of-life upgrade, as it removes the decay effect of Mavuika’s Kiongozi talent. This passive talent grants the active party member a 0.2% DMG bonus for every Fighting Spirit Mavuika has when activating her Elemental Burst. Normally, this bonus decays over time, reaching 0 after 20 seconds.

With her fourth constellation, this decay effect is eliminated, and instead, you gain an additional 10% DMG bonus from Mavuika’s Kiongozi talent, making it a significant improvement for both her consistency and team synergy.

Constellation 5: The Meaning of Truth

Increases the Level of The Named Moment by 3.
Maximum upgrade level is 15.

If you are going for Mavuika’s fifth constellation, it is likely because you are aiming for her C6. Her C5 simply increases the maximum level of her Elemental Skill by three. There isn’t much else to add here—it’s a straightforward upgrade.

Constellation 6: “Humanity’s Name” Unfettered

The All-Fire Armaments from the Elemental Skill The Named Moment receive all-round improvements:
· Ring of Searing Radiance: When the Ring’s attacks hit opponents, a Flamestrider will crash into the struck opponent, dealing 200% of ATK as Nightsoul-aligned AoE Pyro DMG.
· Flamestrider: When Mavuika is riding the Flamestrider, she will also summon a Scorching Ring of Searing Radiance to follow her, which will decrease nearby opponents’ DEF by 20% and deal 500% of ATK as Nightsoul-aligned AoE Pyro DMG to nearby opponents once every 3s. Mavuika’s terrain-crossing abilities will also be further improved.

Additionally, when Mavuika is riding her Flamestrider and is not in combat, when her Nightsoul points drop to 5, she will gain 80 Nightsoul points. This effect can trigger once every 15s.

Like all other modern Genshin Impact characters, Mavuika’s Constellation 6 unlocks her true potential, transforming her into a true battle god as both an on-field and off-field DPS. While her C2 provided DEF shred only through her Elemental Skill, Mavuika’s C6 extends this DEF shred to her Elemental Burst. This massively enhances her damage output, allowing her to compete with other top-tier C6 characters like Yelan, Arlecchino, and Chiori.

Mavuika Weapon vs Constellation: Which one should you pick?

If you have obtained Mavuika, you might be wondering whether to prioritize her signature weapon, A Thousand Blazing Suns, or her constellations. The better choice is her weapon, A Thousand Blazing Suns. It offers an exceptionally high base attack of 741 and a passive perfectly tailored for Mavuika. More importantly, there are very few claymores that synergize well with her playstyle, and A Thousand Blazing Suns can also serve as a solid stat-stick for other claymore characters in Genshin Impact. Moreover, a character’s weapon generally has a greater impact than their constellations.

Alternatively, you can prioritize unlocking Mavuika’s first or second constellation before considering her weapon. Anything beyond her second constellation is unnecessary unless you are a whale—then who am I to stop you from aiming for Mavuika C6R5?

Good luck with your pulling session, and may the gacha gods bless you!
