Genshin Impact: Best Skirk Artifact Sets

Skirk is the newest top-tier 5-star Cryo DPS character coming in the Genshin Impact 5.7 update. Just like how Mavuika set a new ceiling for Pyro DPS characters in the game, Skirk is set to do the same and bring a new ceiling for Cryo characters never seen before. However, to balance things out, Skirk comes with a huge restriction, forcing you to play her only with Cryo and Hydro characters. While you can obviously ignore her intended way to play, sticking to the rules will help you get the most out of Skirk’s kit without overthinking too much.

Anyway, this article isn’t about Skirk’s playstyle. What I want to talk about is the best Skirk artifact sets in Genshin Impact. You might be thinking that Finale of the Deep Galleries, the artifact set with a passive effect and design tailor-made for Skirk, will be her best artifact set. You are not entirely wrong, but there are a couple of artifact sets that can outperform Finale of the Deep Galleries.

Best Artifact Sets for Skirk in Genshin Impact

Here are the best artifact sets for Skirk in Genshin Impact:

1) Marechaussee Hunter

Artifact set2-Piece Effect4-Piece Effect
Marechaussee HunterNormal and Charged Attack DMG +15%When current HP increases or decreases, CRIT Rate will be increased by 12% for 5s. Max 3 stacks.

Surprisingly, the 4-piece Marechaussee Hunter is the best artifact set for Skirk in Genshin Impact—but there’s a catch. This artifact set is only about 10% better than Finale of the Deep Galleries and requires you to run Furina and a good healer like Escoffier on the team. Thanks to Furina’s HP fluctuations, Marechaussee Hunter gives a whopping 36% CRIT Rate. Moreover, you also get a 15% increase to Normal and Charged Attack DMG, which is one of the two ways to play Skirk in Genshin Impact.

However, if you don’t have Furina, then there’s no reason to run the Marechaussee Hunter artifact set on Skirk. You’re better off running one of the other two options mentioned next on the list.

2) Finale of the Deep Galleries

Artifact set2-Piece Effect4-Piece Effect
Finale of the Deep GalleriesCryo DMG Bonus+15%When the equipping character has 0 Elemental Energy, Normal Attack DMG is increased by 60% and Elemental Burst DMG is increased by 60%. After the equipping character deals Normal Attack DMG, the aforementioned Elemental Burst effect will stop applying for 6s. After the equipping character deals Elemental Burst DMG, the aforementioned Normal Attack effect will stop applying for 6s. This effect can trigger even if the equipping character is off the field.

Finale of the Deep Galleries is Skirk’s signature artifact set in Genshin Impact. Its passive effect works perfectly on Skirk, and the aesthetics quite literally scream her name. The 2-piece effect grants a simple 15% Cryo DMG Bonus. The real deal is the 4-piece effect, which gives you either a 60% Normal Attack or Elemental Burst DMG Bonus.

Skirk can use the Finale of the Deep Galleries artifact set to its full potential in any scenario. You don’t have to worry about which teammates to run Skirk with.

3) Desert Pavilion Chronicle

Artifact set2-Piece Effect4-Piece Effect
Desert Pavilion ChronicleAnemo DMG Bonus+15%When Charged Attacks hit opponents, the equipping character’s Normal Attack SPD will increase by 10% while Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attack DMG will increase by 40% for 15s.

Okay, this is an odd one—but stay with me. Desert Pavilion Chronicle’s 2-piece effect is wasted on Skirk since it buffs Anemo DMG. However, the 4-piece effect is surprisingly strong for Skirk, as it increases her Normal Attack speed and buffs her Normal, Charged, and Plunge Attacks by 40%.

Skirk’s regular playstyle involves spamming Normal Attacks, so she wants Normal Attack buffs—especially Normal Attack speed, which is a rare buff available only from a few sources, like Ayato’s Elemental Burst, Dahlia’s Elemental Burst, and Desert Pavilion Chronicle. This artifact set becomes an even stronger option if you get Skirk’s C1 constellation, which deals massive Charged Attack DMG after absorbing a Void Rift.

Best Artifact Stats for Skirk in Genshin Impact

Skirk is like your typical ATK- and CRIT-scaling DPS in Genshin Impact. When farming artifacts for Skirk, you should aim for artifacts with the following main stats:

  • Sands: ATK%
  • Goblet: Cryo DMG%/ATK%
  • Circlet: CRIT DMG/CRIT RATE

For Sands, ATK% is your obvious choice—no questions asked. Skirk scales purely from ATK%, doesn’t usually do any EM-based reactions, and has no use for Energy Recharge. As for the Goblet, Cryo DMG% is the safe choice. But if you’re running Furina and a Natlan character like Citlali or Mualani with the Scroll artifact set, you will have lots of DMG% on Skirk. Hence, an ATK% Goblet might be better.

Lastly, Skirk has a CRIT Rate ascension and gains more CRIT Rate from Cryo Resonance. It is recommended to use a CRIT DMG Circlet, but if you’re low on CRIT Rate, feel free to use a CRIT Rate Circlet.

Finally, let’s discuss the best sub-stats for Skirk’s artifacts in Genshin Impact:

  • CRIT DMG
  • CRIT RATE
  • ATK%
  • ATK

Skirk doesn’t need Energy Recharge, Elemental Mastery, DEF, or HP on her artifacts. Because of this, you’ll have to be quite specific when farming artifacts for Skirk in Genshin Impact.
