At the end of the Genshin Impact 5.8 livestream, HoYoverse shared a small teaser, giving us our first look at Lauma, a new character we’ll be meeting in Nod-Krai. Lauma belongs to the Frostmoon Scions, one of the major factions in Nod-Krai.
In the short 69-second-long preview, HoYoverse revealed Lauma’s element, her special power, and her voice actresses for all four supported languages. Who is Lauma in Genshin Impact?
Lauma is a member of the Frostmoon Scions and is hinted at being one of its higher-ranking members. In the preview, we see another Frostmoon Scion communicating with a stag and asking it to deliver an urgent message to Lauma. Upon receiving the message, Lauma transforms into a spirit-like deer herself and sets out to meet the sender.
This could be a power similar to the one the Traveler received in Natlan, which allows them to turn into a Saurian. However, that’s just speculation. Clearly, Lauma will have some ability related to deer as part of her kit.
Genshin Impact Lauma Element and Vision
In the teaser trailer, HoYoverse gave a quick glimpse at Lauma’s element. She is shown wearing a Dendro Vision in the Genshin Impact Nod-Krai Preview Teaser – “Through the Silent Frostbound Night.” At first glance, you might think Lauma would be an Anemo or Hydro character, but surprisingly, she is going to be a Dendro character.
When will Lauma release in Genshin Impact?
HoYoverse hasn’t revealed any information about Lauma’s release in Genshin Impact. Moreover, leakers haven’t mentioned any Dendro character in the Nod-Krai roadmap leak. So, there is no solid information on Lauma’s release in Genshin Impact.
However, she is featured in the Nod-Krai teaser, similar to how Kinich, Mualani, and Kachina appeared in the Natlan teaser. That trio was introduced in the first Natlan update, which was Genshin Impact 5.0. Therefore, players can expect Lauma to be released in the early updates of Nod-Krai, such as version 6.0 or 6.1.
