When I first jumped into CloverPit, it felt like the entire game was just pure luck. Every spin, every deadline—it all seemed completely out of my hands. But after a few rough runs (and a lot of falling into that dark pit), I realized there are smart ways to tilt the odds in your favor.
In this CloverPit guide, I will walk you through how to actually beat CloverPit, the best Lucky Charms you should aim for, and a few important things I wish I had known earlier. Luck still plays a big part, but with the right strategy, you will start feeling more in control with each run.
Best Strategy to Beat CloverPit

CloverPit may seem like a game of pure luck at first, but with the right strategy, you can tilt the odds in your favor. Your main goal is to deposit coins into the ATM to clear your debt before the deadline hits, but managing your coins and maximizing your luck is key to surviving longer.
Start by prioritizing Lucky Charms. These boosts increase your luck, giving you better chances to win big in the slot machine. Charms like Fake Coin (extra spin with +4 luck) and Lucky Cat (earn coins based on your interest) are especially useful for building a steady coin flow.

The best strategy is to choose a symbol you want to prioritize. For example, let’s say it’s lemon. You’ll want to look for the two Lucky Charms related to lemons: Lemons Picture and Golden Lemon. The Lemons Picture charm increases the chances of lemons to appear, while Golden Lemon has a chance to spawn golden lemons, which reward more coins.

Along with these charms, use the telephone buff called I Need Supplements, which doubles the coins you get from lemons and cherries. Lastly, the Number 1 Lucky Charm makes all yellow symbols trigger a second time, meaning more coins. You can stack these charms and buffs to maximize your coin earnings and pay off deadlines easily.

Don’t forget to use the ATM to your advantage. Depositing coins consistently will earn you interest, which becomes more valuable as the game progresses. Be mindful of your coin balance and always keep enough for at least seven spins to maximize your chances in the slot machine.
Finally, make good use of the telephone buffs after each round. These can offer coin boosts or reroll opportunities, allowing you to adjust your strategy. With a bit of luck and smart planning, you can survive much longer in CloverPit.
Best Lucky Charms in CloverPit

CloverPit has a variety of Lucky Charms for you to choose from, but there’s no guaranteed way to know which one will appear in the Lucky Charms store. If you’re unsure which Lucky Charms to pick, here are some of my personal recommendations:
Number 1: This charm will cause yellow symbols to trigger a second time. Since four out of seven symbols are yellow, you’re likely to earn extra coins by using this charm. You can unlock the Number 1 Lucky Charm by using the dirty toilet in CloverPit.
Lucky Cat: This is a cheap and common Lucky Charm that pays interest when you hit a 3+ pattern. At first, you won’t earn much interest, but in the late game, you’ll have tons of coins, and getting paid interest every time is just free money.
Holy Bible: Getting a 666 is rare but not impossible. If you consider yourself unlucky, you definitely want to buy the Holy Bible charm. With the Holy Bible, you can negate the 666 when it appears.
Picture Charms: There are charms with pictures of each symbol in CloverPit. By purchasing these charms, you can activate the button before spinning the slot machine, which will increase the chances of the particular symbol appearing.
Golden Charms: Just like Picture Charms, there are Golden Charms for all seven symbols. These charms increase the chances of a symbol turning golden, which doubles its coin multiplier.
Cloverpet: If you’re using multiple luck-boosting charms, Cloverpet will help you double their effects.
I suggest reading the descriptions of Lucky Charms to understand what they do and how they can benefit your run. But if you’re feeling adventurous, you can always go YOLO and discover how Lucky Charms can benefit your run in CloverPit.
Things You Should Know About CloverPit

Like many roguelikes, CloverPit doesn’t do a great job of helping players understand what everything does. But then again, that’s part of the game. You play and lose to figure out new strategies and ways to beat the game. However, if you’re a beginner, there are a few things you should know about CloverPit:
All symbols don’t have the same multiplier: If you’ve played slot machines before, this won’t be a surprise. Some symbols are common and have low multipliers, while others are rare and have high multipliers. Here are all the symbols, their multipliers, and their odds:
Symbol | Multiplier | Odds of appearing |
---|---|---|
Lemon🍋 | 2 | 19.4% |
Cherry🍒 | 2 | 19.4% |
Clover🍀 | 3 | 14.9% |
Bell🔔 | 3 | 14.9% |
Diamond💎 | 5 | 11.9% |
Gold Coin🥇 | 5 | 11.9% |
Seven7️⃣ | 7 | 7.5% |
Lucky Charm rarities: Lucky Charms come in four different rarities: Common, Uncommon, Rare, and Legendary. In the CloverPit demo, there’s only one Legendary Charm called Megaphone, which costs seven tickets. You don’t need rare, and especially Legendary, Lucky Charms to beat CloverPit, but they can make this roguelike hell a bit easier.

Know the patterns: Knowing the patterns won’t make you rich, but it will at least help you understand how lucky you are. There are a total of 11 different patterns you can get in CloverPit. You can see all the possible patterns in the image above. Consider yourself lucky if you hit a jackpot.
Restarting the run: If a run isn’t going as you hoped, you can always restart it. CloverPit is a roguelike, and resetting the game until you get the winning combo is a common strategy. You can go to the Menu and simply hit the Restart button to reset the run.
Resell Lucky Charms: You can only hold so many Lucky Charms on your desk. If there’s a better charm in the shop and you don’t have space, you can always choose to sell one of the bad charms. You’ll also get a ticket as a refund.
Time to submit coins after the last round ends: You have just a little over ten seconds to submit your coins. For this reason, I recommend submitting coins earlier and only keeping the coins needed to play the slot machine. This way, you won’t have to spam the Deposit button at the ATM.
These are my recommendations for beginners who have just started playing CloverPit. Since the game is currently available as a demo, there may be more tips to add once the full version is released. I believe it has the potential to be a really fun game. What do you think? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments!
