- Skirk is a powerful Cryo DPS character in Genshin Impact 5.7, and her performance depends heavily on weapon choice. Her best 5-star sword is her signature, Azurelight, offering high ATK and CRIT bonuses. Other top-tier options include Mistsplitter Reforged, Haran Geppaku Futsu, and Primordial Jade Cutter.
- For 4-star choices, Calamity of Eshu stands out, followed by Finale of the Deep, Blackcliff Longsword, and The Black Sword. F2P players can rely on Calamity or Finale, while Harbinger of Dawn is a surprising 3-star option.
Skirk is a 5-star sword Cryo character coming in the Genshin Impact 5.7 update. Ever since HoYoverse started adding bosses to endgame content, Cryo DPS characters have lost their value and seem to have been forgotten. Luckily for Skirk, we now have Escoffier, who is arguably the best Cryo support in Genshin Impact. Thanks to Escoffier, Skirk can claim a spot as one of the top DPS characters in the game.
However, just like any other DPS character, you’ll need to use the best weapons for Skirk to get impressive amounts of damage from her. If you’re not interested in all the nitty-gritty of Skirk’s weapon comparison, then let me help you find the best sword for your Skirk build in Genshin Impact. I’ve included both 5-star and 4-star weapons to help players regardless of whether they pull on the weapon banner or not.
Best 5-star Weapons for Skirk in Genshin Impact
1) Azurelight
Unsurprisingly, Skirk’s signature weapon, Azurelight, is her best-in-slot sword in Genshin Impact. It comes with a high base attack of 674 and a solid CRIT Rate of 22.1%. Azurelight grants a 24% ATK buff after Skirk uses her Elemental Skill. This buff is increased by another 24%, along with a 40% CRIT DMG boost. However, the second part of the passive only activates when the character has zero energy. This condition is always met for Skirk since she uses a special energy mechanic to recharge her Elemental Burst, similar to Mavuika.
From a design perspective, Azurelight is also the best-looking weapon for Skirk. It matches her aesthetics and fits perfectly when her weapon changes forms. If you’re a true fan of Skirk, you won’t regret getting Azurelight for her. Just keep in mind that the passive loses most of its effect on other characters.
2) Haran Geppaku Futsu

Ayato may be one of the more poorly aged characters in Genshin Impact (I know Escoffier is a blessing for him), but his signature weapon is a solid choice for most DPS characters. Haran Geppaku Futsu provides an unconditional 12% Elemental DMG bonus and a 40% Normal Attack DMG boost after using an Elemental Skill, provided two of your team members have also used theirs.
If you already have Haran Geppaku Futsu or managed to get it from the Inazuma Chronicle Banner in Version 5.6, it can work quite well on Skirk. Also, I must say, its deep blue color looks pretty good on her.
3) Mistsplitter Reforged

Mistsplitter Reforged is among the best swords for any DPS sword character, and Skirk is no exception. She can easily gain all three stacks of the Mistsplitter passive and reach up to a 40% Elemental DMG bonus. The weapon also has a high base attack of 674 and a decent 44.1% CRIT DMG.
While the damage output is strong, the sword unfortunately doesn’t complement Skirk’s visual design. But if you’re focused solely on damage and don’t have the two options above, Mistsplitter Reforged is your best bet.
4) Primordial Jade Cutter

Primordial Jade Cutter has been in Genshin Impact since launch and remains one of the best stat sticks. If you’re struggling to hit a good CRIT ratio on a sword DPS character, equip Jade Cutter and instantly gain a 44.1% CRIT Rate boost from its secondary stat. Unfortunately, this comes at the cost of a low base attack (542). The weapon does grant a 20% HP boost and an ATK bonus equal to 1.2% of the wielder’s max HP.
If you don’t have other 5-star options and want to hit a solid CRIT ratio, Primordial Jade Cutter can definitely help. But fair warning — it looks awful on Skirk.
Other Notable 5-star Swords You Can Use on Skirk
- Absolution: Provides CRIT DMG and has high base ATK, but its passive is useless on Skirk. Only recommended as a stat stick.
- Summit Shaper: Offers a ton of ATK%, which Skirk benefits from, but requires a shielder like Dahlia to get maximum value.
- Uraku Misugiri: Has low base attack but high CRIT DMG. Grants a sweet Normal and Elemental Skill DMG buff.
Best 4-star Weapons for Skirk in Genshin Impact
1) Calamity of Eshu

Calamity of Eshu is the strongest event-exclusive 4-star weapon we’ve received in a long time. At its release in Version 5.2, players weren’t sure who could use it best. I even wrote a guide on GameRant suggesting Keqing and Ayaka. However, Skirk’s kit makes it clear that this sword was made for her.
At max refinement, it buffs Normal and Charged Attack DMG by 40% and increases CRIT Rate by 16% when shielded. It has a base attack of 565 and 27.6% ATK as a secondary stat, which is, exactly what Skirk needs. Without a doubt, Calamity of Eshu is the best F2P weapon for Skirk. Just make sure you run her with a shielder like Dahlia or Citlali, as that’s the only condition for unlocking its full potential.
2) Finale of the Deep

Finale of the Deep is a craftable 4-star sword from Fontaine. If you missed the event-exclusive Calamity of Eshu, this is your next best 4-star option. At max refinement, it grants a 24% ATK bonus after using an Elemental Skill and gives a 25% Bond of Life, which boosts ATK further when healed.
It has the same base attack and secondary stat as Calamity of Eshu (565 and 27.6% ATK, respectively). While it lacks CRIT stats, the weapon does look great on Skirk.
3) Blackcliff Longsword

The Blackcliff Longsword is one of the easiest ways to boost CRIT DMG on characters. It has a decent base attack and CRIT DMG as a sub-stat. The passive provides an ATK bonus on defeating enemies. If you’re short on better options and don’t mind spending some Masterless Starglitter, Blackcliff Longsword is a solid pick for its stats alone.
4) The Black Sword

Now for the battle pass weapons. We currently have two swords: The Black Sword and Wolf-Fang. Of the two, The Black Sword is better suited for Skirk. At Refinement Rank 1, it buffs Normal and Charged Attack DMG by 20% and slightly heals her on CRIT hits based on her ATK. It also provides 27.6% CRIT Rate and a base ATK of 510, making the sword great for maintaining a solid CRIT ratio.
Bonus: Best 3-star Sword for Skirk
Before you go, let’s highlight one of the strongest 3-star weapons in Genshin Impact: Harbinger of Dawn. Yes, it only has a base ATK of 401, but it provides a whopping 46.9% CRIT DMG and a 14% CRIT Rate buff at max refinement, as long as the wielder’s HP is above 90%.
Maintaining this condition with Furina on the team can be tricky unless you have a powerful healer. But if you’re not using Furina and have a reliable shielder or healer, Harbinger of Dawn is a great stopgap weapon or even a fun option for a 3-star challenge build to show off Skirk’s true potential.
