Yumemizuki Mizuki is a 5-star Anemo character in Genshin Impact hailing from the nation of Inazuma. Surprisingly, she is the sixth Anemo character to use a Catalyst as her weapon. Even though HoYoverse just released Lan Yan, a 4-star Anemo Catalyst shielder, the developers are ready to introduce another Anemo Catalyst character.
Yumemizuki Mizuki is an on-field Swirl DPS character similar to Sucrose. Some may even compare her to a 5-star version of Sucrose. However, they differ significantly. Sucrose, being a 4-star character, is more accessible to players and provides excellent team buffs like Elemental DMG Bonus and Elemental Mastery. On the other hand, Mizuki is a selfish DPS who focuses on enhancing her Swirl reaction damage. She provides little utility to teammates aside from Elemental Resistance Shred through the Viridescent Venerer artifact set.
If you plan to build Yumemizuki Mizuki in Genshin Impact, here are the best weapons for her, including 5-star, 4-star, and 3-star Catalysts:
Genshin Impact: Best Weapons for Yumemizuki Mizuki

1) Sunny Morning Sleep-In
Weapon | Stats | Passive |
![]() | Base ATK 542 Elemental Mastery 265 | Bathhouses, Hawks, and Narukami Elemental Mastery increases by 120 for 6s after triggering Swirl. Elemental Mastery increases by 96 for 9s after the wielder’s Elemental Skill hits an opponent. Elemental Mastery increases by 32 for 30s after the wielder’s Elemental Burst hits an opponent. |
Sunny Morning Sleep-In is Yumemizuki Mizuki’s signature weapon. This 5-star, banner-exclusive Catalyst can only be obtained when her banner is live. It has a relatively low base attack of 542 but offers a secondary stat of 265 Elemental Mastery.
As Mizuki relies heavily on Swirl reactions, Elemental Mastery is her key stat, and the passive effect of Sunny Morning Sleep-In complements this perfectly. It provides additional Elemental Mastery buffs for triggering Swirl reactions, using her Elemental Skill, and activating her Elemental Burst. With its secondary stat and passive effect combined, the weapon provides a total of 513 Elemental Mastery—the highest any Catalyst can offer. If you are willing to spend Primogems on her weapon banner, Sunny Morning Sleep-In is the best choice for Mizuki.
2) A Thousand Floating Dreams
Weapon | Stats | Passive |
![]() | Base ATK 542 Elemental Mastery 265 | A Thousand Nights’ Dawnsong Party members other than the equipping character will provide the equipping character with buffs based on whether their Elemental Type is the same as the latter or not. If their Elemental Types are the same, increase Elemental Mastery by 32. If not, increase the equipping character’s DMG Bonus from their Elemental Type by 10%. Each of the aforementioned effects can have up to 3 stacks. Additionally, all nearby party members other than the equipping character will have their Elemental Mastery increased by 40. Multiple such effects from multiple such weapons can stack. |
A Thousand Floating Dreams is another strong option for Yumemizuki Mizuki. It has a base attack of 542 and a secondary stat of 265 Elemental Mastery. When used in a team where Mizuki is the sole Anemo character, this weapon provides 32 Elemental Mastery to her and a 30% Elemental DMG Bonus to party members of different elements.
While not as optimized for Mizuki as her signature weapon, A Thousand Floating Dreams offers utility by enhancing the overall damage of the team. Given that Mizuki’s Swirl scaling isn’t exceptionally high, the extra damage from her teammates can be beneficial.
3) Starcaller’s Watch
Weapon | Stats | Passive |
![]() | Base ATK 542 Elemental Mastery 265 | Offering Unto Wind and Sun Increases Elemental Mastery by 100. Gain the “Mirror of Night” effect within 15s after the equipping character creates a shield: The current active party member deals 28% increased DMG to nearby opponents. You can gain the “Mirror of Night” effect once every 14s. |
Starcaller’s Watch is the only other 5-star Catalyst with Elemental Mastery as a secondary stat. It provides 265 Elemental Mastery and an additional 100 through its passive effect.
However, Mizuki cannot fully utilize this weapon’s passive, as it requires generating shields, which Mizuki doesn’t do. This makes Starcaller’s Watch less effective compared to other options, though it remains viable for its high Elemental Mastery alone.
4) Sacrificial Fragments
Weapon | Stats | Passive |
![]() | Base ATK 454 Elemental Mastery 221 | Composed After damaging an opponent with an Elemental Skill, the skill has a 40% chance to end its own CD. Can only occur once every 30s. |
Sacrificial Fragments boasts the highest Elemental Mastery among 4-star Catalysts, with a base attack of 454 and 221 Elemental Mastery. Its passive effect, which resets skill cooldowns, isn’t very useful for Mizuki since her skill lasts 10 seconds with only a 5-second downtime, during which other characters are typically used.
Despite its passive being underutilized, Sacrificial Fragments is a good option for Mizuki due to its high Elemental Mastery. As a Standard 4-star Catalyst, it is readily available from all banners.
5) Favonius Codex
Weapon | Stats | Passive |
![]() | Base ATK 510 Energy Recharge 45.9% | Windfall CRIT Hits have a 60% chance to generate a small amount of Elemental Particles, which will regenerate 6 Energy for the character. Can only occur once every 12s. |
While Yumemizuki Mizuki doesn’t rely heavily on her Elemental Burst or have high energy costs, Favonius Codex is recommended for teams with energy-hungry characters like Beidou, Furina, Lisa, Yae Miko, or Yelan. Its passive generates energy particles every 6 seconds at Refinement Rank 5, which can significantly help such teams.
Equipping Favonius Codex allows Mizuki to act as an energy battery while remaining an on-field Swirl DPS.

- Hakushin Ring: F2P craftable weapon. Lacks Elemental Mastery but buffs teammates in Electro-charged teams.
- Wandering Evenstar: Provides Elemental Mastery and converts a portion of it into ATK% for Mizuki and teammates.
- Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers: A 3-star Catalyst that offers a 48% ATK buff to a teammate but provides no direct benefit to Mizuki herself.
