After the release of Amphoreus, Honkai: Star Rail began to focus more on HP-scaling DPS and AoE teams. This was expected, as the entire 2.x Penacony arc centered around Super Break and, to some extent, Follow-up Attack teams. With the end of the Amphoreus saga in Version 3.7, Honkai: Star Rail has finally revisited the Super Break meta that had been collecting dust for nearly a year.
Honkai: Star Rail will soon introduce a new Super Break support called The Dahlia, also known as Constance. Leaks for Version 3.7 have revealed The Dahlia’s full kit, including her skills, traces, eidolons, and more. However, HSR character kits are rarely easy to understand, so this guide will simplify The Dahlia’s abilities and explain how she works.
Everything You Need to Know About The Dahlia’s Kit in Honkai: Star Rail

The Dahlia is a 5-star Pyro character following the Path of Nihility. She serves as a Super Break support similar to Fugue. However, do not assume Fugue and The Dahlia are the same. They share similarities but are designed for different characters. While Fugue best supports Boothill and Rappa, Constance is built to be the ideal support for Firefly.
Fugue assists Break DPS units who want to break the Toughness Bar, while The Dahlia focuses on attacking enemies with a broken Toughness Bar. However, breaking Toughness Bars has become difficult with the new Amphoreus enemies, so HoYoverse introduced The Dahlia as a solution. She allows you to ignore an enemy’s Toughness Bar and deal Super Break DMG regardless of whether the bar is active or not.
While this might not make sense in terms of how Break Damage is traditionally supposed to work, Honkai: Star Rail makes and bends its own rules—and that’s both confusing and fun at the same time. Without further ado, let’s take a look at The Dahlia’s kit.
The Dahlia’s Basic Attack
Her normal attack is simple: it deals a small amount of Fire DMG to a single target and restores 20 Energy.
The Dahlia’s Skill: Lick… Enkindled Betrayal
Consumes one Skill Point to deploy a Zone for 3 turns. The Zone’s duration decreases at the start of The Dahlia’s turn. It deals Fire DMG to one enemy and their adjacent targets. While the Zone is active, all teammates’ Weakness Break Efficiency increases by 50%, and any Toughness Reduction inflicted on enemies who are not Weakness Broken will be converted into Super Break DMG.
The Dahlia’s Ultimate: Wallow… Entombed Ash
Inflicts the “Wilt” debuff on all enemies for 4 turns and deals massive Fire DMG to all enemies. Targets affected by “Wilt” have their DEF reduced by 18% and gain a temporary weakness to the “Dance Partners” element type.
Talent: Who’s Afraid of Constance?
When The Dahlia enters battle, she regenerates 35 Energy and designates herself and the ally who triggered the battle as Dance Partners. If there’s no other Dance Partner, the character with the highest Break Effect becomes her Dance Partner.
When a Dance Partner hits a Weakness Broken enemy, the Toughness Reduction converts into Super Break DMG.
When the other Dance Partner attacks, The Dahlia performs a Follow-up Attack, dealing 5 instances of DMG to a random enemy. If enemies are Weakness Broken, it also deals a large amount of Super Break DMG. This Follow-up Attack can trigger only once per turn.
Technique: The Heart Makes the Finest Tomb
Using her Technique creates a special dimension for 20 seconds. Enemies inside the dimension will not attack allies. When combat is initiated within this dimension, The Dahlia instantly uses her Skill.
Stat Boosts
You can gain the following bonus stats from her minor traces:
- 37.3% Break Effect
- 18% Effect RES
- 10% HP
Major Traces
Yet Another Funeral
Increases allies’ Break Effect by 24% of The Dahlia’s Break Effect + 50% for one turn after entering combat. This effect can re-trigger for three turns after The Dahlia receives healing or a shield from an ally, but only once per turn.
Lament, Lost Soul
When performing a Follow-up Attack via her Talent, The Dahlia recovers 1 Skill Point every two Follow-up Attacks.
Outgrow the Old, Espouse the New
When an ally applies a weakness to an enemy, their SPD increases by 30% for 2 turns. If the ally is a Fire character, the effect is enhanced.
That’s it for the base E0 version of The Dahlia in Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.8. The Dahlia is shaping up to be one of the most impactful Super Break supports in Honkai: Star Rail. Her ability to ignore Toughness Bars and convert Toughness Reduction into Super Break DMG makes her stand out from all previous Break-type supports. Unlike Fugue, who assists with breaking enemies’ defenses, The Dahlia focuses on maximizing the potential of already broken enemies, making her an ideal partner for Firefly and other Break-oriented characters.
With her strong synergy, unique mechanics, and valuable team utility, The Dahlia could easily redefine the Super Break meta in Version 3.8 and beyond. If you are building a Break-based team, she might become an essential unit worth saving your Stellar Jades for.
