Wondering what the best weapons for Alhaitham are? We got you covered as this guide shares the best swords for Alhaitham. Travelers have been waiting for Alhaitham since his first appearance in the Genshin Impact 3.0 update. Alhaitham will finally release with the Genshin Impact 3.4 update. The brilliant scribe of Akademiya will be available in the first half of patch 3.4, coming out on January 14th, 2023.
Many players like to farm resources and prepare artifacts and weapons before pulling the character. If you wish for Alhaitham or have already pulled him, you might be confused about which weapon to give him. Let’s get right into the ten best weapons for Alhaitham in Genshin Impact without further ado.
10 Best Swords for Alhaitham in Genshin Impact
Alhaitham is a Dendro DPS who deals an insane amount of damage using the Spread reaction. His kit turns Elemental Mastery into ATK% to boost his damage further. When choosing a weapon for Alhaitham, players should look for Crit Rate, Crit DMG, Elemental Mastery, and ATK% stats.
1) Light of Foliar Incision
- Base ATK: 542
- Secondary stat: 88.2% Crit DMG
- Passive effect: CRIT Rate is increased by 4%. When Normal Attacks deal Elemental DMG, the Foliar Incision effect will be obtained, increasing DMG dealt by Normal Attacks and Elemental Skills by 120% of Elemental Mastery. This effect will disappear after 28 DMG instances or 12s. You can obtain Foliar Incision once every 12s.
Light of Foliar Incision is Alhaitham’s signature weapon and is the best weapon for him. It provides a massive 88.2% Crit DMG. It gives the highest Crit DMG among all swords available in Genshin Impact. The passive effect is perfect for Alhaitham as it increases normal and elemental skill damage based on his total Elemental Mastery. With this sword, players are highly recommended to use Elemental Mastery Sands instead of ATK% on Alhaitham.
2) Primordial Jade Cutter
- Base ATK: 542
- Secondary stat: 44.1% Crit Rate
- Passive effect: HP increased by 20%. Additionally, provides an ATK Bonus based on 1.2% of the wielder’s Max HP.
Primordial Jade Cutter is one of the best stat sticks in Genshin Impact. It is a generic go-to weapon for all DPS characters, including Alhaitham. Since Alhaitham’s ascension stat is neither Crit Rate nor Crit DMG, weapons with Crit stats are the best for him. Primordial Jade Cutter is pretty close to Alhaitham’s signature weapon.
3) Mistsplitter Reforged
- Base ATK: 674
- Secondary stat: 44.1% Crit DMG
- Passive effect: Gain a 12% Elemental DMG Bonus for all elements and receive the might of the Mistsplitter’s Emblem. At stack levels 1/2/3, the Mistsplitter’s Emblem provides a 8/16/28% Elemental DMG Bonus for the character’s Elemental Type. The character will obtain 1 stack of Mistsplitter’s Emblem in each of the following scenarios: Normal Attack deals Elemental DMG (stack lasts 5s), casting Elemental Burst (stack lasts 10s); Energy is less than 100% (stack disappears when Energy is full). Each stack’s duration is calculated independently.
Mistsplitter Reforged is excellent for any character who deals Elemental DMG and uses their skill. This sword is a decent option for Alhaitham as he is a Dendro DPS and most of his damage comes from elemental skill.
4) Haran Geppaku Futsu
- Base ATK: 608
- Secondary stat: 33.1% Crit Rate
- Passive effect: Obtain 12% All Elemental DMG Bonus. When other nearby party members use Elemental Skills, the character equipping this weapon will gain 1 Wavespike stack. Max 2 stacks. This effect can be triggered once every 0.3s. When the character equipping this weapon uses an Elemental Skill, all stacks of Wavespike will be consumed to gain Rippling Upheaval: each stack of Wavespike consumed will increase Normal Attack DMG by 20% for 8s.
After Alhaitham uses his elemental skill, his normal attack starts dealing Dendro DMG. Because of this, Haran Geppaku Futsu’s passive effect works like a charm on Alhaitham. Considering a whole team rotation, this weapon can be a decent weapon for Alhaitham if players don’t have other 5-star swords mentioned previously.
5) Freedom-Sworn
- Base ATK: 608
- Secondary stat: 198 Elemental Mastery
- Passive effect: A part of the “Millennial Movement” that wanders amidst the winds. Increases DMG by 10%. When the character wielding this weapon triggers Elemental Reactions, they gain a Sigil of Rebellion. This effect can be triggered once every 0.5s and can be triggered even if said character is not on the field. When you possess 2 Sigils of Rebellion, all of them will be consumed, and all nearby party members will obtain “Millennial Movement: Song of Resistance” for 12s. “Millennial Movement: Song of Resistance” increases Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attack DMG by 16% and increases ATK by 20%. Once this effect is triggered, you will not gain Sigils of Rebellion for 20s. Of the many effects of the “Millennial Movement,” buffs of the same type will not stack.
Freedom-Sworn is the only 5-star sword with Elemental Mastery as a secondary stat. It has a fantastic passive effect that boosts all party members’ normal, charged, and plunging attack and increases their attack by 20%. Players can use this weapon if they don’t have any other decent 5-star sword available.
6) Black Sword
- Base ATK: 510
- Secondary stat: 27.6% Crit Rate
- Passive effect: Increases DMG dealt by Normal and Charged Attacks by 20%. Additionally, regenerates 60% of ATK as HP when Normal and Charged Attacks score a CRIT Hit. This effect can occur once every 5s.
Black Sword is the first 4-star sword in this list. It is a Battlepass weapon with a passive effect useful for Alhaitham. At max refinement, Black Sword can overpower some 5-star swords as well. Thanks to its Crit Rate substat, players will have a more manageable time building a 1:2 Crit ratio on Alhaitham.
7) Harbinger of Dawn (R5)
- Base ATK: 401
- Secondary stat: 46.9% Crit DMG
- Passive effect: When HP is above 90%, increases CRIT Rate by 28%.
Harbinger of Dawn is a 3-star weapon, perfect for any DPS character who does not require high base ATK. This sword has one of the best passive effects, and players just have to use a shielder and/or a healer to maintain the effect. When using Harbinger of Dawn on Alhaitham, players should use an Elemental Mastery Sands as it has a low base attack.
8) Toukabou Shigure (R5)
- Base ATK: 510
- Secondary stat: 165 Elemental Mastery
- Passive effect: After an attack hits opponents, it will inflict an instance of Cursed Parasol upon one of them for 10s. This effect can be triggered once every 15s. If this opponent is taken out during Cursed Parasol’s duration, Cursed Parasol’s CD will be refreshed immediately. The character wielding this weapon will deal 32% more DMG to the opponent affected by Cursed Parasol.
Toukabou Shigure is an event-exclusive 4-star sword given away for free in Genshin Impact patch 3.3. Most players have this sword in their accounts; luckily, this weapon is one of the best F2P options available for Alhaitham.
9) Iron Sting (R5)
- Base ATK: 510
- Secondary stat: 165 Elemental Mastery
- Dealing Elemental DMG increases all DMG by 12% for 6s. Max 2 stacks. Can occur once every 1s.
Iron Sting is a craftable sword and thus accessible to everyone in Genshin Impact. Its passive effect is perfect for a DPS-oriented character, but the game lacked an EM scaling DPS. With Alhaitham, Iron Sting can finally be pushed to its potential in terms of DPS.
10) Xiphos’ Moonlight
- Base ATK: 510
- Secondary stat: 165 Elemental Mastery
- Passive effect: The following effect will trigger every 10s: The equipping character will gain 0.036% Energy Recharge for each point of Elemental Mastery they possess for 12s, with nearby party members gaining 30% of this buff for the same duration. Multiple instances of this weapon can allow this buff to stack. This effect will still trigger even if the character is not on the field.
Xiphos’ Moonlight is a recently released 4-star gacha weapon in Genshin Impact. This weapon does not boost Alhaitham’s elemental skill or normal attacks, but it will help him get his elemental burst back up quickly.
