How to Get Every White Block in Minecraft Easily [2023]

There are hundreds of unique blocks in Minecraft. With every update, Mojang adds new blocks to the game, making the list of blocks longer and longer. Most blocks are used for building purposes and do not have any other practical use.

Unsurprisingly, building is one of the most popular things to do in Minecraft. The nearly endless worlds of Minecraft give players an exponentially large canvas to show their creativity and imagination.

Many experienced builders choose a block palette, like how painters pick a colour palette before beginning to work on their artwork. With so many blocks in Minecraft, beginners can have a tough time choosing a rich block palette.

In this article, we have focused on the white colour and listed down all blocks related to the white colour in Minecraft. Players can also learn about different ways to obtain these white coloured blocks in Minecraft.

How to Get Birch Wood

Birch wood has bright white textures with a bit of grey and black patterns on it. Unlike logs, wood blocks have the same bark texture on all six sides, making them a better option for building. To craft birch wood, you will need four birch logs.

Place four logs in a 2×2 crafting grid, as shown in the above image, to craft three birch wood in Minecraft. Unfortunately, you will only get three birch wood despite using four logs. Yes, it is an uneven exchange.

How to Get Block of Quartz

To get a block of quartz, you will first have to obtain quartz in Minecraft. You can obtain quartz either by mining quartz ores or by bartering with piglins. If you want lots of quartz, it is better to set up a piglin bartering station to get loads of quartz automatically.

You will need four quartz to craft one block of quartz. Place four quartz in a 2×2 crafting grid to make one block of quartz in Minecraft. In order to craft blocks of quartz, visiting the Nether realm is compulsory.

If you do not have access to the Nether or do not want to craft, trading with masons is another way to get Quartz blocks. You can buy Quartz blocks from Master-level masons in exchange for emeralds.

After getting blocks of quartz, you can make all other kinds of quartz blocks, such as quartz slabs, quartz pillars, chiseled quartz blocks, etc. Use a crafting table or stonecutter to get these variations of quartz.

How to Get Block of Iron

Iron blocks also have a slivery white texture. They are easy to craft but are pretty costly. To make one block of iron, you will need nine iron ingots. Place them in a 3×3 crafting grid to make a block of iron.

How to Get Bone Block

Bone blocks are crafted using nine bone meals in Minecraft. You can use bone meal not only for growing vegetation but also to make bone blocks. Bone blocks have a pale white texture and can be an excellent alternative to white concrete blocks.

How to Get Calcite Block

Calcite is one of the newly added white blocks in Minecraft. It is also rare to obtain as it cannot be crafted. Calcite generates only in two places: middle layers of amethyst geodes and in the form of long strips on stony mountain biomes.

How to Get Diorite Block

Huge chunks of diorite blocks generate between height levels 0-60 ad 64-128. However, mining isn’t the best way to get diorite blocks as there are other better ways to obtain them. You can craft diorite by placing two cobblestones and two quartz in a 2×2 crafting grid in the following way.

After obtaining diorite blocks, you can craft diorite slabs, diorite stairs, diorite walls, polished diorite, and more. Polished diorite is prepared by combining four diorite blocks. You can also buy polished diorite blocks from masons at the Journeyman level.

How to Get Froglight Block

The inner section of froglight blocks is white like sea lanterns. When a frog consumes a small magma cube, it drops a froglight block. You will have to lure a magma cube to a frog or the other way around to get a froglight block.

The type of froglight block depends on the frog’s colour. There are three types of froglight blocks in Minecraft:

  • Pearlescent Froglight (purple) – dropped by white frogs
  • Verdant Froglight (green) – dropped by green frogs
  • Ochre Froglight (orange) – dropped by orange frogs

How to Get Mushroom Stem Block

Atleast one side of every mushroom stem block has a light white texture. Players can find mushroom trees and break them with a Silk Touch pickaxe or axe to get mushroom stem blocks. If you cannot find mushroom trees, you can use bone meals on a brown or red mushroom to grow a mushroom tree.

How to Get Powder Snow

Powder Snow generates in the beautiful mountain groves and snowy slopes. To pick powder snow, you will have to bring an empty bucket. Since powder snow and snow have similar textures, you might have difficulty finding them. Try spamming the empty bucket on snow while in the above biomes to get snow.

Perhaps a better way to collect powder snow will be piling snow using cauldrons. However, this takes a painfully long time and can only happen when snowing.

How to Get Snow Block

Snow blocks generate in cold, snowy biomes like ice spikes, groves, snowy slopes, frozen peaks and jagged peaks. You can get snow blocks by breaking them with a Silk Touch enchanted pickaxe or shovel.

Another way to obtain snow blocks is through crafting. You can combine four snowballs in a 2×2 crafting grid to make a snow block in Minecraft.

How to Get White Bed

To craft a white bed, you will need three white wool and three planks. Place these blocks on a crafting table, like shown in the above image, to get a bed. If you have a non-white bed, you can use white dye on it to get a white bed.

How to Get White Carpet

White carpets are crafted using two white wool blocks in Minecraft. Place two wool blocks horizontally in a 2×2 crafting grid to get white carpets. If lucky, you may also find apprentice-level shepherds selling white cards.

How to Get White Concrete Powder and Make White Concrete Block

To make white concrete, you will need white concrete powder. You can make white concrete powder by combining four gravel, four sand, and one white dye, and this recipe will give you eight white concrete powder blocks.

White concrete powder turns into a white concrete block when it comes in contact with water. You can create a layer of white concrete powder and then a water bucket to pour water on powder blocks to make white concrete.

How to Get White Terracotta and Glazed White Terracotta

The best way to get terracotta is by mining at badland biomes. However, given their rarity, not all players have easy access to badlands. Fortunately, you can make terracotta by burning clay in a furnace. Combine eight terracotta and a white dye using a crafting table to get white terracotta blocks.

Once you have obtained white terracotta, you can easily make glazed terracotta. Burning white terracotta in a furnace will produce glazed white terracotta.

How to Get White Shulker Box

Shulker box is one of the most useful blocks in Minecraft as it is the only portable storage space. You can colour code shulker boxes using dye to help you remember which shulker boxes contain what. To turn a shulker box white, you need to add white dye or bone meal to a shulker.

How to Get White Stained Glass and White Stained Glass Pane

To obtain white stained glass, you will first need to make regular glass blocks. Glass is made by burning sand blocks in furnaces. Once you have obtained glass blocks, place eight glass blocks around a white dye or bone meal to get eight white stained glass.

White stained glass panes are prepared using white stained glass blocks. Place six white stained glass in two rows of a crafting table to craft 16 white stained glass panes.

How to Get White Wool

The best way to get white wool is by shearing a white sheep in Minecraft. You can craft a shear and use it on a sheep to get 1-3 wool blocks. Killing white sheep is another way to get white wool, but doing so will only get you one wool block.

Sheared sheep regrow their wool by eating grass. You will be able to shear them again and get more wool blocks. It is also possible to set up an automatic wool farm in Minecraft.
